Delaware 2016 Tax Updates

Delaware's only changes for tax year 2016 involved its due dates. The due date for taxpayers filing individual income tax returns is May 1, 2017. The due date for filing an individual income tax return if an extension has been requested is October 16, 2017.

Everything else has stayed the same. The standard deduction amounts, personal credit amount, and tax rates have all stayed the same. In addition, all the credits from last year are still available. These include Delaware's Child Care Credit, Earned Income Tax Credit, additional personal credit for taxpayers aged 60 or over, and Volunteer Firefighter's Credit, among others.
