Arkansas 2016 Tax Updates

The Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration made a few changes to their 2016 tax laws. Arkansas taxpayers can now pay their Arkansas tax due more efficiently by using direct debit when they e-file their Arkansas return.

Arkansas tax rates have been lowered from last year's rates, and several new brackets have been added for taxpayers with net income over $35,100. The Low Income Tax thresholds have also been increased. The standard deduction remains the same as last year at $2,200 ($4,400 for married filing jointly filers).
