Indiana 2016 Tax Updates

The Indiana Department of Revenue made some changes to their 2016 tax laws. Several credits are no longer available such as the Employer Health Benefit Plan Credit, Maternity Home Credit, and Small Employer Qualified Wellness Program Credit. The County Credit for the Elderly was also repealed. Several addbacks have been repealed. The Lump Sum Distribution and Qualified Disaster Assistance Property are just a couple of examples. Several deductions have expired. A few examples are the Insulation Deduction, Non-Indiana Locality Earnings Deduction, and the Solar-Powered Roof Vents or Fans Deduction. The School Corporation Codes have been eliminated and will no longer be requested.

A new Military Family Relief Fund Donation has been added. The maximum Civil Service Annuity Deduction has increased from $8,000 to $16,000. The rules for the Indiana Lottery Winnings Annuity Deduction have changed.
